Case Studies

Martín Pescador - The Hat Journey

The Panama hat is the flagship product of the summer fashion brand Martin Pescador. However, their customers perceived the product to be expensive and sales were declining. After research, our insight was that the price of the product was being clearly communicated, but not its value. 

We developed a cinematic story to narrate the tradition and legacy behind the hat, as well as the expert craftsmanship required to manufacture it. Mixing fictional and documentary elements, the story is able to create a strong emotional connection around the concept of travel, lifestyle and hand made luxury. 

Video helped achieve a 40% increase in sales of the Panama Hat, both in physical stores and in digital channels. Also, it had special appeal among foreigners, which were our intended target audience. 

Grand Hyatt Bogotá - Go Grand

In May 2018, the Grand Hyatt Bogota hotel, one of the largest and most luxurious in Colombia, opened its doors to the public. As part of a major launch campaign, they requested Bahia Visual to produce their main brand video.

We conducted brand research and developed a story where guests of the hotel are able to “Go Grand” during their stay. The storytelling approach blends the elements of luxury, contemporary design and high-level service that represent Grand Hyatt. Each shot was carefully composed to highlight the avant-garde architecture, décor and impressive spaces of the hotel.

The CEO of Hyatt Corporation, Mark Hoplamazian, highlighted this corporate film as a great example of the essence of the Grand Hyatt brand. In addition, the video was a key asset to help position the hotel as the most exclusive in the country.

Tampico - Tú creciste, nosotros también

To present its new 0 sugar line of products, the international brand Tampico juices and digital agency Flash launched the campaign “You grew up, so did we”. Bahía Visual produced the commercial for this campaign, which sought to connect with consumers who “grew up” with Tampico during the 90s.  

With a very agile voice-over, colorful art direction, screen divisions and original “retro” music, we produced this 15-second commercial that was advertised in major  TV networks in Colombia.

Colmédica - Patrulla Aérea

In 2019, Colmédica commissioned Bahia Visual to produce a video with the purpose of increasing donations to the Air Patrol program. This social enterprise seeks to bring medical brigades to the most distant regions of Colombia.

Bahía Visual developed a video during the Air Patrol brigade in Arauca, focused on serving Venezuelan refugees arriving from the border. We chose a testimonial and documentary approach to narrate, in a first person account, how these medical brigades create an impact in the lives of both refugees and humanitarian personnel. 

The end result was a documentary-style video that effectively increased donations to the Air Patrol program by 25% compared to previous years.

Beckett Simonon - True Craftsmanship

To attract new international customers, the shoe brand Beckett Simonon needed to showcase the craftsmanship process behind its products. The main challenge was to recreate an atelier atmosphere in the middle of an industrial workshop. 

With attention to detail in cinematography and lighting, we designed a cozy and warm atmosphere in the middle of this industrial workshop. We focused on capturing cinematic shots of the artisans, the shoes and the manufacturing processes. Original music and sound design were added to enhance the emotional appeal and “high end” quality of the video.

The video is a key asset for Beckett Simonon, and has helped the brand position itself amongst the best artisan-made shoes at affordable prices in the US. 

Beckett Simonon - How it Works

Unlike the traditional retail model, the brand Beckett Simonon does not keep inventory of its products. The company developed a ‘made to order’ model that results in high quality shoes at fair prices, less waste and improved working conditions for their craftsmen. However, customers had some confusion around this value proposition.

Bahía Visual developed a 2D animation video to showcase how the regular retail model works and its damaging consequences. The ‘made to order’ model and its value proposition is clearly explained to the viewer. Applying a didactic storytelling approach, the animation flows seamlessly from scene to scene and engages the viewer from beginning to end. 

The video was shared on all the brand’s digital media and website, reaching more than 30,000 views on platforms like YouTube.

Nature Re - Regenerate Nature

Nature Re is a Swiss company that combines financial expertise and sustainability to restore nature, reduce carbon emissions and generate sound returns to its investors.

Before launching the brand, the team of NatureRe had the challenge of communicating its value proposition in a simple, clear and inspirational tone to attract new investors. Bahía Visual advised NatureRe in the concept development and production of this video. Our process began by translating the business model to simple terminology in order to craft a compelling message that clarified the value proposition. 

Currently, this corporate video serves as NatureRe’s primary communication tool on its website, social media and sales meetings with potential investors.

Gertruda Zilyte - Wynn Casino Fashion Film

In 2021, Lithuanian model Gertruda Zilyte commissioned Bahía Visual to produce a series of Fashion Films during her US Tour. A total of 10 fashion films were produced in locations like the Grand Canyon, the famous “Vegas Strip”, in Las Vegas, and also the New York subway.

For this fashion film, we  selected the famous casino of the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, to capture the atmosphere of eccentricity, nightlife and gambling that are unique to this city. Gertruda’s strong acting on screen and high end styling, combined with the location and dynamic gimbal shots, creates a unique vibe that blends a retro vibe with modern pacing.  

Kephi - Fashion Film

In August 2020, the arab brand Kephi launched its youthful, minimalist and sustainable fashion line. As part of the brand launch campaign, Kephi sought a video production house to create an avant-garde fashion film aligned to its aesthetic.

To highlight Kephi’s unique lifestyle, Bahia Visual selected a diverse group of talent and designed several sets to evoke a mysterious, youthful and sophisticated atmosphere. Also, close up shots of clothes focused and design details give the viewer an overall impression of modern luxury. Original music was also composed, adding a nightly vibe to this futuristic fashion film. 

The video was part of Kephi’s global launch campaign.
